Long term readers of this blog will probably have guessed that I have been
spending a lot more time North of the river than I would like. Over there it’s not how I
remember it from childhood days, it was probably a nicer place back then, bomb
craters and all.
Here to commemorate Victory in Europe day are two photos of
me celebrating the event 75 years ago. Unfortunately the precise location is not
recorded but I do know it was somewhere close to Leyton Orient’s football ground.
The party was of course a little later than May 8th.
