One
of the most remarkable, or maybe I should say disgraceful, things about local
Government is the way that senior staff exist primarily to provide each other
with favours that result in incessant promotions and occasionally peer reviews
that suggest that they all do a perfect job even when it is easy to see that
that is far from being true.
The way that senior Finance people have successfully fled from one Council to
another leaving chaos in their wake has been a case in point. There have been
several reports that this extends to personal relationships and how it benefits
the parties involved but I am not going to get into that.
A name that hadn’t come my way until now is Hussein Alanezi and there has been
no suggestion that he has wavered from the straight and narrow.
Following the Newham debacle he set himself up as an expert in the form of Real
Accounting Solutions Ltd to cash in on the introduction of
the new accounting
systems he believed Councils needed. Bexley’s Finance Director is intent on a
new system, the one that failed elsewhere and who better to do it than an old mate?
Mr. Alanezi is now in Bexley.
