The unusual site banners are to bring attention to the fact that Labour activists in Bexley are manipulating Facebook Groups with fictional posters. They deny it, threaten police action for ‘harassing’ a fictitious character and then demonstrate their willingness to impersonate by creating a false Administrator account in my name. The banner on display is chosen randomly from a selection of three, with a fourth bearing the familiar Bexley Council is Bonkers logo.

25 November (Part 2) - Bexley council pays out £12,741·08 compensation for maladministration

Councillor Katie PerriorThe Local Government Ombudsman has taken the unusual step of ordering that a resident’s legal costs be reimbursed by Bexley council as well as awarding her £5,000 for “distress, outrage, inconvenience, time and trouble”.

The case involved an issue of child protection, councillor Katie Perrior’s area of responsibility. Bexley council was held to have neither produced nor implemented a clear investigation plan, inappropriately questioned, failed to pursue reasonable lines of enquiry and failed to properly record evidence and decisions.

The full report may be read on the Local Government Ombudsman’s website.
