The unusual site banners are to bring attention to the fact that Labour activists in Bexley are manipulating Facebook Groups with fictional posters. They deny it, threaten police action for ‘harassing’ a fictitious character and then demonstrate their willingness to impersonate by creating a false Administrator account in my name. The banner on display is chosen randomly from a selection of three, with a fourth bearing the familiar Bexley Council is Bonkers logo.
24 April (Part 2) - Relief in sight
Cabinet member
Gareth Bacon has today announced that the traffic chaos surrounding
Bexleyheath should come to an end about five weeks from now. From the end of May
traffic will revert to the old routes and circulate in the old direction with
only minor exceptions. Work will continue for another five months but the town
should offer a more attractive destination than it has recently.
As
stated last June, on the day councillor Peter Craske was due to make the
announcement but was instead occupying a police interview room, the Broadway
regeneration looks to be a very attractive scheme and it is to be hoped proves
to be safe as well. Councillor Bacon says the work will be to a “standard
we can be proud of”.
As the photo shows, it shouldn’t fail for the lack of concrete and steel reinforcement.
Note: Two of the photographs in
yesterday’s feature were of
shops which were not closed down but which are closed every Monday morning.
They have been replaced with alternative pictures. The blog did not actually say
that the shops were all business failures but it was a conclusion too easily
reached and as such was not acceptable.
