The unusual site banners are to bring attention to the fact that Labour activists in Bexley are manipulating Facebook Groups with fictional posters. They deny it, threaten police action for ‘harassing’ a fictitious character and then demonstrate their willingness to impersonate by creating a false Administrator account in my name. The banner on display is chosen randomly from a selection of three, with a fourth bearing the familiar Bexley Council is Bonkers logo.

21 July (Part 2) - No manners in Manor Road

Manor Road Manor RoadInconvenient as it must be for local residents the rebuilding of Manor Road, Erith is in principle just another of Bexley’s interminable road regenerations with the bonus this time of it being obvious to some at least that the job needed to be done.

Whenever I have been there I see nothing exceptional, just a dozen or so men watching one or two getting on with the job. It may be different if you live there and can observe events more closely and for longer as does Hugh Neal of Maggot Sandwich fame.

Hugh has taken some far more interesting photographs than mine some of which were shown on his blog yesterday. There is another on the Erith Neighbourhood Watch website and Hugh showed me another of a black BMW driving on the pavement between a hedge and a temporary barrier. Madness. He sent it to the police so maybe it shouldn’t be put on the web just yet.
