The unusual site banners are to bring attention to the fact that Labour activists in Bexley are manipulating Facebook Groups with fictional posters. They deny it, threaten police action for ‘harassing’ a fictitious character and then demonstrate their willingness to impersonate by creating a false Administrator account in my name. The banner on display is chosen randomly from a selection of three, with a fourth bearing the familiar Bexley Council is Bonkers logo.

7 August (Part 1) - The Green Chain’s missing link

Green ChainIt is almost precisely six months since Peabody Housing Association said it was going to break the Green Chain Walk which runs right across the boroughs of Bromley and Bexley from Crystal Palace to Lesnes Abbey and the Thames. A branch runs to the Thames Barrier in Greenwich.

The Peabody announcement said they were going to renovate the path where it runs across their domain in three sections, the first being that between Yarnton Way and Southmere Lake, about 300 metres in all.

The path was officially closed on 16th February although it remained accessible for a few days beyond that date. Reopening was scheduled for 29th May.

This is how it looked yesterday, a very long way from being completed.
