The unusual site banners are to bring attention to the fact that Labour activists in Bexley are manipulating Facebook Groups with fictional posters. They deny it, threaten police action for ‘harassing’ a fictitious character and then demonstrate their willingness to impersonate by creating a false Administrator account in my name. The banner on display is chosen randomly from a selection of three, with a fourth bearing the familiar Bexley Council is Bonkers logo.

2 August (Part 1) - Ye Olde Heron Hill dump

Ye Olde Leather Bottle Ye Olde Leather Bottle Ye Olde Leather BottleJust a couple of days after my second hospital ‘op’, occasional correspondent David W. suggested I get myself up to Ye Olde Leather Bottle to read a letter that had been pinned to what Kulvinder Singh might call a boundary fence.

Unfortunately my recovery was not as quick as I had hoped for and by the time I got myself there the notice had gone, hence an update on the Leather Bottle situation was never done.

Just when I thought I should do something about it I discovered in conversation with Hugh Neal of Maggot Sandwich fame that he is going to bring everyone up to date on The Bottle tomorrow. So if you are interested in what benefits a close association with Bexley’s Conservative Councillors can bring, there may be something of interest to you on Hugh’s blog on Sunday.
