29 September (Part 1) - Carlton Canyon
Bexley
Council claims, very controversially, that its roads are among the best in the
country but thanks to them my eight year old car is becoming a rattle box.
Every time I go to Dartford and cross the little town centre bypass near to
their library I wonder how it is that after something like 20 years their
granite blocked road is as good as new with not a single block displaced and
wherever one goes in Bexley similarly constructed roads are falling apart.
From Arnsberg Way to
Harrow Manorway they have all broken up in a remarkably short time. Some are
not even seven years old.
Is this another case of Bexley Council
not getting value for our money?
From @tonyofsidcup comes these photos of the paths leading to Carlton Road
Playpark not far from his home in Sidcup. The poor workmanship tolerated by
Bexley Council is plain for all to see. Chasms almost big enough to lose a small child.
Bexley; the borough where nothing much works properly. The place is cracking up.
