The unusual site banners are to bring attention to the fact that Labour activists in Bexley are manipulating Facebook Groups with fictional posters. They deny it, threaten police action for ‘harassing’ a fictitious character and then demonstrate their willingness to impersonate by creating a false Administrator account in my name. The banner on display is chosen randomly from a selection of three, with a fourth bearing the familiar Bexley Council is Bonkers logo.
2 September (Part 2) - Postscripts to earlier blogs
I
had expected double yellow lines to be daubed along Harrow Manorway by now
because the notices put up yesterday are not a lot of good without them and on
top of that the sign is unusual to say the least.
However no one has taken any notice of the parking ban so maybe the line painters couldn’t do their work.
It is possible that the new restrictions have more to do with Cross Quarter than
Crossrail, the enormous development taking shape across the road in Greenwich. There will be a
hotel and a Sainsburys supermarket and the sound of piling has filled the air for the past couple of weeks.
Moving
on to yesterday’s blog about Will Tuckley’s wig, someone who was taking an
interest in that sort of thing long before I was lost no time in emailing me a contradiction.
According to him, Tuckley’s predecessor Nick Johnson never wore a wig.
I have no corroboration but ‘It has for many years been the convention’ may have to go down as as another Bexley council lie.
