The unusual site banners are to bring attention to the fact that Labour activists in Bexley are manipulating Facebook Groups with fictional posters. They deny it, threaten police action for ‘harassing’ a fictitious character and then demonstrate their willingness to impersonate by creating a false Administrator account in my name. The banner on display is chosen randomly from a selection of three, with a fourth bearing the familiar Bexley Council is Bonkers logo.
25 February - Welling corridor diary (Week 7)
There has been a report that the narrowed Bellegrove Road claimed a
victim this week. A motorcyclist in collision with a car where a traffic island
has been moved too close to the pavement. The photo diary is again
updated.
As will be apparent my computer rebuild went reasonably
well, not perfectly, it took six attempts to install Service Pack 1 for Windows
7. I was rather worried by the appearance of this site in Internet Explorer 9
until I discovered that it had defaulted to ‘Compatibility Mode’ which attempts
to recreate Internet Explorer 6 for those
non-standard websites written only with Internet
Explorer 6 in mind. IE8 and IE9 users may wish to ensure that Compatibility mode
has not been engaged on their own computer.
